Britney Spears obtained the restraining order against her former manager Sam Lufti . A Judge granted the singer a 5-year restraining order that bans Sam Lufti from contacting her or her family and making derogatory comments about them on social media.
This Thursday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny made the decision to grant Britney the restraining order against her former manager, after a hearing with former 44-year-old manager Sam Lufti and Britney's father, Jamie Spears, who is his legal guardian via a court-ordered conservatorship, for 11 years.
During the hearing, Britney Spears' father revealed that he does not have a perfect relationship with his daughter.
“The relationship between my daughter and I has always been tense” – said Jamie Spears.
He also testified that Lufti who was close to Britney in 2007 and 2008 and briefly was his manager, has been a “predator” . Of his family for over a decade
“I worried that he was trying to knock down the conservatorship” – Spears said on the stand. “I was very upset. I was worried that we were going back to 2008. “
Sam Lufti was the one who was with Britney when she was crazy out of control at that time.
Papa Spears and his lawyers suggested, and the judge seemed to agree, that Sam Lufti has I tried to encourage fans – who have used the hashtag #FreeBritney on social media – to criticize the control that Jamie Spears and the court have had over Britney in the past 11 years.
Lufti's Twitter is full of posts criticizing the circumstances of Britney and those around her.
