Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Quentin Tarantino were in an interview with Esquire magazine about their new movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood – It premiered recently in Cannes and already presented its official trailer. In addition to the teaser.
In the interview the actors told curious details of their careers, Brad told how he smoked grass once with Brandon Lee (the son of Bruce Lee) shortly before Leonardo DiCaprio for his part shared that he once almost met his idol River Phoenix at a party, the night he died at the Viper Room in 1993.
Brad said that the best moment of his career was once he appeared on the set and there was actor Burt Reynolds. As he grew up watching Smokey and The Bandit, spending two days in a set with Reynolds was the best. Burt Reynolds had a role in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood but he died before filming, he was replaced by Bruce Dern.
Then Leonardo told how it was his first meeting OMG! A star of Hollywood … And it has to do with Luke Perry who died after finishing the filming of OUATIH.
“I remember My friend Vinny, who is in the movie too, we went in and we both had this moment of butterflies in the stomach, 'Oh my God, that's Luke Perry! “- Leonardo told.
Brad Pitt also talked about Luke and how he was an idol, and an incredible guy.
“That's Luke f * cking Perry! We were like kids in the candy store because I remember going to the studios and it was (Beverly Hills 90210) and he was an icon of the most for us as teenagers. It was this strange explosion of emotion that I had, to be able to act with him. Man, he was incredibly modest and wonderful and absolutely committed. He could not have been friendlier, wonderful guy to hang out with. I sat down and had wonderful conversations with him. It was very special. “
In DListed they found funny the fact that Brad said that Luke Perry was an icon for us teenagers. Because it turns out that Brad is two, three years older than Luke, when Beverly Hills premiered 90210, Luke was 24, and Brad 27. LOL! Ok, Luke was 24 years old playing the role of a teenager … but they were not teenagers. HE HAS! Leonardo was 16 years old, so it's credible that he was a fan of Dylan McKay, the coolest guy in West Beverly High.
Anyways, Luke Perry will always remember him fondly. This was his last movie. Here are more pics of Brad, Leo (and Tarantino) in Esquire.
